Museum: Al-Quran Museum



Melaka Al-Quran Museum is a glorious landmark dedicated to the spread of Islam in Melaka. It is located in the Phase II of the Al-Azim State Mosque Complex in Bukit Palah, Melaka. 

Opened to the public on 10 January 2008 in conjuction with Ma’al Hijrah 1429, Melaka Al-Quran Museum was built to showcase Melaka as an Islamic country and the coming of Islam to the Malay world. This museum also functions as a resource centre in relation to Al-Quran and Islamic education.


Melaka Al-Quran Museum displays the historical past of Islamisation beginning from the divine revelation throught the growth of Islam in the era of the Prophet Rasulluah S.A.W.. and his friends, which had spread throughout the Middle East, Indo China and the rest of the Malay world. 


It is ultimate destination to any visitors who would like to learn more about the Al-Quran and Islam in Malaysia. There is also a museum shop here. The exhibits are displayed in 12 main hall in the form of graphical panel, artifacts, demonstrations and audio visual.

Closed on Monday

Admission Fee:
Children below the age of 12 – RM1.00
Adult – RM2.00
