Malacca Sentral Bus Terminal was constructed at a cost of RM28.4 million. It started full operations in 2004. Melaka Sentral is Malaysia's first air-conditioned bus (state and express) terminal as well as a Taxi terminal. It is not a train terminal. The nearest train station is in Tampin near Melaka/Negeri Sembilan State's border.
