Sanggul is the Malay word for chignon or hair knot and lintang means horizontal. The sanggul lintang consists of several pieces assembled in the hairdo in stages. Melaka royal queens and princesses naturally have their own sanggul lintasng made in gold and decorated with real gemstones. The Sanggul Lintang originates from Melaka and more then 10 floral motifs to embelish the sanggul.
